CLEVELAND- Wilma Ray Peacock age 77 of Cleveland, MS passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020, at the Baptist Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford, Ms.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Sunday, September 20, 2020, at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the North Cleveland Cemetery, Reverend Chris Harris will officiate the services. 

Wilma was born December 15, 1942, to Tilman Harper and Ruth Ann (Williams) McClain in Grubbs Arkansas. She grew up in the Bolivar County area and graduated from Mississippi Delta Community College LPN Program. She married James Thomas Peacock Sr. May 15, 1973, in Cleveland, MS. She was employed with the Care Inn Nursing Home for over 30 years and had worked at several other nursing homes in the Delta Area during her career. Wilma loved to fish, work in her yard, watch birds, and visit with friends on Facebook. During the Christmas season, which started for her Thanksgiving Day, she would light up her house and yard with an array of lights and displays. She was a member of Boyle Methodist Church. Wilma loved her family and she will be missed by her many friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Tilman Harper and Ruth Ann McClain, two brothers Robert (Bob) Harper, Owen Harper, two sisters Maxine Davis and Patsy McClain, Son John Peacock, and one grandson Doug Bowles Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years James Thomas (Tommy) Peacock Sr of Cleveland Ms., four daughters Robin (Kenny) Beevers, of Shaw, Ms., JoAnn (Jackie) Moody, of Cleveland, Ms., Lisa (James) Beach of Cleveland, Ms., Sharon (Paul) Youngblood of Tupelo, Ms., Son, Tommy Peacock Jr. of Cleveland, Ms., 17 Grandchildren; Wendy Jacobs, Renee Hudson, Carl Bowles, Denise Hudson, Raeanne Dupree, Corrie O'neal, Jeremey Cantrell, Jeffery Cantrell, Cassie Ray, Emily Kimble, Jamie Beach, Anthony Youngblood, Brittney Youngblood, Megan Youngblood, Chase Peacock, Shelbie Ray, and Tyler Peacock. She also leaves 29 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild to cherish her memory.

Pallbearers are Jeremey Cantrell, Bill Ray, Tommy Peacock Jr., Carl Bowles, James Beach, and Donnie Glossenger. Honorary Pallbearers are Jackie Moody and Chris Kimble.
